Humidity is a big issue in coastal cities like Mumbai, Chennai, and Kochi. Adding moisture absorbers or silica gel packets to your sports kit can help protect metal and leather items from rust or mould.

Follow Proper Storage Techniques

How you store your equipment plays a major role in how long it lasts. Piling everything into one bag may seem convenient, but it can damage delicate items. Rackets should always be stored in padded covers so their strings remain tight and the frame stays intact. Footballs and basketballs should be inflated to the recommended level and kept away from sharp objects.

Gym accessories such as dumbbells, skipping ropes, and mats should be stored separately to prevent wear and tear. Shoes should never be crushed under heavy equipment. They should be kept upright so their shape remains intact. Investing in basic storage solutions can make a big difference in how long your equipment lasts.

Repair and Service Your Gear When Needed
